Personal Machzor of Rabbi Yitzchak Weiss, whose students testified that his prayers were delivered with such devotion that the area around him became wet from his tears when he prayed.
Ownership inscriptions: ‘Bought by my father and master R. Yeshaya Yissachar, known as Reb Yeshaya Ber Weiss of Pressburg’. Stamps of ‘Yitzchak Weiss, Rosh Beth Din of Vrbove’ and of ‘Salomon Weiss’.
Rabbi Yitzchak Weiss (1875-1942), a disciple of the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg, who referred to him as ‘my sefarim cabinet’ due to his amazing memory and fluency in everything that he learned. Talented writer and speaker, and Rabbi of Chevra Mechabdei Ume’angei Shabbos in Pressburg, Kadlburg (1904) and Rosh Beth Din of Vrbove (1916).
