Midrash Ribash Tov, 1-2, "Ma'amarim Drushim Remazim Sichos Rabbienu Yisroel Baal Shem Tov", by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Avraham. Mordechai Avraham Press, Kecskemét, [1927]. First edition. With approbations by the Tzaddikim of his generation. "And blessed be he who studies it daily, and whoever studies it much will add knowledge and wisdom" (from the approbation of Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein).

Section 1: Ma'amarim, Ma'asseh rav, Sichos, Aggados and letters by the Besht and his disciples - including letters from the Khersonian Genizah.

[1], 60' 56 leaves, 19 cm.

Ownership stamp of Rabbi Moshe Yosef Schwartz, Rav of the Freistatl [Freistadt, Slovakia] and the vicinity. (About him see: The Chassam Sofer and His Disciples (Hebrew), p. 753).

At the end of the first section, a long list of subscribers - many of the neames appearing on these leaves are names of rabbis who were later killed on Kiddush Hashem during the Holocaust. Each section has a separate title page.

With approbations by the Geonim Rabbi Yisroel Avraham Alter Landau Av Beis Din of Edelin, Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler Av Beis Din of Mad, Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein Av Beis Din of Vitzen, Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaim Av Beis Din of Nir Batur, the holy Rav Rabbi Sholom Eliezer Halberstam of Ratzfert and the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Vizshnitze. In addition, the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaim wrote praise of the Sefer yet at his request, it was not printed so it would not seem that he was approbating the Torah of the Besht. Appearing in the foreword of the Sefer is also a letter by the holy Rav author of "Minchas Eliezer" noting that he does not trust that the letters [from the Khersonian Genizah] are indeed attributed to the Besht and that he sees them as forgeries.

New binding, very good condition.
