A Special Silver Kiddush Cup Crafted by Izzy (Ezra) Landau, Israel, 20th C. Weight: 613 gr.
Kiddush cup for the Passover Seder, cast silver, weighing 613 gr., hand crafted by artist and silversmith Izzy (Ezra) Landau.

Height: 10 cm.

At 613 grams, the cup's weight is both unusual and symbolic, representing the 613 mitzvot in the Torah. This highly unusual weightiness gives the cup an especially impressive and dignified presence, well befitting such a beautiful and high-quality piece.

The cup was designed especially for the Seder Night and is embellished with prominently chased figures of the Four Sons, accompanied by the inscription "The Torah refers to Four Sons: One Wise, One Evil, One Simple, and One Who Does Not Know How to Ask."

The artist Izzy (Ezra) Landau was born in 1947 in Oshgoret, Russia, and immigrated to Israel in 1972. After coming to Israel he began designing Judaica items such as Hanukkah lamps, spice towers, and kiddush cups. His pieces are all original handicrafts and have earned him a reputation as of one of the most talented silversmith casters in the field. His works have been acquired by the President's House in Israel and have been brought as gifts to Heads of State. His most well-known work is the monumental Menorah located near the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

A weighty cup, impressive and high quality, by a renowned Israeli silversmith.
