Two large handwritten leaves - certificate of appointment for R. Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau as rabbi of Kornitz, signed by 144 community members. Kornitz (Kurenets, Vilna region), 17th Sivan 1884.
This certificate of appointment was written immediately upon the passing of the previous rabbi of Kornitz - R. Mordechai Ziskind, father-in-law of R. Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau.
