Pair of Nazi Propaganda Items: Parody of the American "Guarantee of Safe Conduct" and More, 1944-5

* Parody poster printed by the German propaganda apparatus. At the same time, the American military would print anti-Nazi propaganda, which, in addition to their propaganda value, also served as "guarantees of safe conduct." That is, the American posters promised the German soldiers that if they fall into captivity with this poster in their possession, they will serve as a ticket out of captivity.

This rare Nazi poster was designed with an identical style to the American posters, but declare that any German soldier caught with the American posters shows by this his genuine wish to go into captivity for ten years, to betray his fatherland, and to return home a broken old man who will very probably never see his parents, wife or children again. The other side of the poster contains a message mocking the American troops, ending with "Heil Hitler" and the caption "Hard times, what?"

13x20 cm. Fine-very fine condition. Minimal aging stains in the margins.

* Poster mocking President Roosevelt, including a sarcastic caption.
