Group of Letters form the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Tzvi HaLevi, Av Beit Din of Jaffa

This lot includes:

A collection of letters.

A halachic responsum from 1892, while he was still living in his father-in-law's home: "A letter arrived from Kfar Ekron with a discussion of the law of the tithes given to the government, if a Jew acquires it, is it obligated in ma'aser or not?" A lengthy responsum, from which we learn that already in his youth he had mastered the issues regarding Land-of-Israel-dependant mitzvahs. This responsum has not yet been printed.

Letter regarding the copying of a halachic letter, from 1894

Letter of Torah on the issue of rolling an oath, from 1894.

Torah letter on the issue of hefker.

A letter in which he asks Rabbi Tukachinsky to raise money from the city's charity coffers for his orphaned sister, and also to approach the gaon, the Adere"t, to try to get the heads of the kollels to contribute for her.
