Letters by the Holy Admor Rabbi Sholom Michaelovich of Brody to Agudas Yisroel


Two letters handwritten and signed by the Admor the Tzaddik Rabbi Sholom Michaelovich of Brody Radvil, from when he lived in Rishon leZion, about establishing a branch of Agudas Yisroel there. [1952-1954].


Two letters written on the official stationery of the Holy Admor Rabbi Sholom Michaelovich, from the days he lived in Rishon LeZion, and which were sent to the center of Agudas Yisroel in Jerusalem. 

* The first: announces that he has found a suitable and worthy person to serve as the secretary of the branch, which acted those days among the refugees for housing, occupation and much Judaism "Yiddishkite" in Rishon LeZions and nearby Moshavim.  The Admor of Brody suggests R. Yaakov Lasar as the secretary of the branch, refers to R. Noah Edelist, one of the leaders of Agudas Yisroel in Italy and Tel Aviv, and asks for the assistance of Agudas Yisroel. 

* The second letter: was sent to Rabbi Chaim Binyomin Virnik. In it, he mentions that he postponing the establishment of the branch until after the wedding of Rabbi Sholom's sister. who survived Auschwitz and was staying with him. 

He mentions that he sent a letter to the president of Agudas Yisroel the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Hachoen Levin "and it is advisable that he honor him with his presence". 


The Holy Admor Rabbi Sholom Michaelovich of Brody the son of the Holy Rav Rabbi Yechiel Michl and the son-in-law of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Landman of Bender, a descendant of the Lizhensk, Belz and Alesk dynasties and successor of his fathers of the Radvil-Zlotshov dynasty. Gathered around him many refugees in Bucharest after the war and immigrated to the Holy land, living in Rishon LeZion and acting within Agudas Yisroel. Later he moved to the USA, opening his court and Beis Midrash, which attracted many. His sons and successors continue to serve as the Admorim of Radvil. His renowned sons-in-law are the Holy Admor of Machnovka and the Holy Admor of Chernobyl - USA.
