Sayings, refreshing words, and reinforcement attributed to Rabbi Yehoshua Isaac Shapira, known as Rabbi Eisel Harif, the Av Beit Din of Slonim. With his biography, edited by M. Reizesohn, published by “Gemilut Chassadim Kaseh”, Slonim. Rabbi Yehoshua Isaac Shapira, known as Rabbi Eisel Harif (1805-1873) was the author of the Emek Yehoshua and Noam Yerushalmi and more, he was a rabbi in a number of communities, including Slonim (the most famous). He was known for his great cleverness and many are the sayings that were handed down by him. Extremely rare! At the end are two pages requesting financial support from the Kupas Gemilus Chassadim of Slonim. These pages don’t appear in other copies. There is also an original envelope in pink. 65, [7] pages, the envelope is falling apart. Most of the pages have separated from the spine, some pages have a tear on the inscription without missing text, fair condition.
