The Rebbe's Doctrine about Chaba"d Conduct for Birthdays, with Important Birthday Blessings from the Lubavitcher Rebbe. 10 Tammuz, 1957.

Fundamental letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe about strengthening oneself on birthdays, with the addition of his handwriting and signature. 10 Tammuz, 1957. Brooklyn, New York.

In this important letter, the Rebbe describes his approach to the traditional Chaba"d conduct for birthdays: "Certainly conduct yourself as people have been conducting themselves recently, by giving charity on their birthdays before shacharit prayers. It is also customary to study an additional lesson, whether in revealed Torah or in Chassidic doctrine, to be called up to the Torah on one's birthday ... and to study the three regular lessons for that day on Chumash, Tehillim and Tanya - on one's birthday."

At the end of the letter, the Rebbe blesses him warmly: "May it be Hashem's will  that it be a successful year, materially and spiritually, and may [you] add Torah study and mitzvah fulfillment in tranquility." The Rebbe then adds, in his hand, "and fulfillment of [your] wishes for the good" and his signature.
