All Issues of the Important Torah Journal, Torah MiTziyon, Copies that Belonged to Rabbi Shmuel Salant

Torah MiTziyon - the main Torah anthology printed in Jerusalem, with Torah novellae in halachah and aggadah. The anthologies were published over ten years [1887-1905] for a total of approximately 40 thick issues (approximately 100 pp per issue), bound in 7 elegant volumes. This is the complete set! It also includes the 'index anthology' that was published at the end of the printing of the ten years' worth of issues.

The dozens of anthologies here are the personal copies that were owned by the renowned rabbi of Jerusalem, the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant, who was one of those who provided approbations for the anthology (along with the Rishon LeTziyons Rabbi Rephael Meir Panigel and Rabbi Ya'akov Shaul Elyashar). He also published halachic articles in the journal, penned over the years. The flyleaf of the first volume bears an interesting self-dedication handwritten by Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky, rosh yeshivah of Etz Chaim and beloved grandson of Rabbi Shmuel Salant, as follows: "This book, Torah MiTziyon, was generously lent to me by my grandfather, Rabbi Shmuel Salant, due to his wanting to give it as a gift, but without it being called as such. 2 Nissan, 1894. Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky.

[7] volumes that bind approximately [40] issues. Approximately 16x20 cm. All of the volumes bear Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky's notations/signatures/stamps

Overall fine-very fine condition: Elegant embossed semi-leather binding.
