Pair of Synagogue Lamps with Dedications to Holocaust Victims
A pair of synagogue lamps which, according to our information, originate from the synagogue of the Hungarian town Kiskőrös which was destroyed during the Holocaust. After the Holocaust, the lamps were engraved with dedications in memory of relatives that perished in Auschwitz (by brothers Yechiel and Akiva Klein in memory of their mother and sister, and by Avraham Shmuel Griner in memory of his sons and daughter). The lamps are made of brass and decorated with Stars of David. Different sizes (diameter: 57-92 cm). The lamps have been adapted for electricity. General condition: fair (Some of the branches are broken, rust).
