Letter of Blessing and Guidance from Rebbe Rayatz of Lubavitch – 1949 – "May G-d Send Him Good Customers, Good Merchandise and Good Plentiful Livelihood"

Letter signed by Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn – the Rayatz of Lubavitch. Brooklyn NY, 9th Adar 1949.
Typewritten on the official stationery of the rebbe, with his signature "Yosef Yitzchak" and several words in his handwriting.

Addressed to R. Alter Chaim Kohen in Ramat Gan, in response to his news "that he was successful in opening his store". The Rayatz blesses him: "May G-d send him good customers, good merchandise and good plentiful livelihood". Further in the letter, the Rayatz advises: "It would be good for his daughter Tziporah Nechama to spend a few hours learning sewing and his daughter Chava should continue her seminary studies, and learn sewing on the side, and for his son Yechezkel, it is correct to operate on his tonsils as the doctor instructed, made G-d make it go smoothly and he should heal speedily".
At the end of the letter, the rebbe added in his handwriting: "In material and spiritual matters"; and signed with a Yud in Ashuri script (at the beginning of his second name) – his distinctive signature in the last year of his life.

The present letter was not published in Igrot Kodesh of Rebbe Rayatz.
