Letter of Blessing from Rebbe Rayatz of Lubavitch – 1946 – To Rebbe Avraham Eger of Lublin – May G-d Fulfill His Heart's Desires and Help Him with a Smooth Journey to the Holy Land, May He Settle Down Well with a Good Livelihood, in Material and Spiritual Matters"

Letter from Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn – the Rayatz of Lubavitch, with his signature. Brooklyn NY, 25th Adar II 1946.
Typewritten on the official stationery of the Rebbe Rayatz, with his signature "Yosef Yitzchak".
The Rayatz blesses: "May G-d fulfill his heart's desires, and assist him with a smooth journey to the Holy Land and may he settle down to a good life, with good livelihood in material and spiritual matters".

In the upper right-hand corner of the letter, the name of the recipient was penciled – "Eger". The present letter was presumably sent to Rebbe Avraham Eger of Lublin (1914-2002), a descendant of R. Akiva Eger. During the war, he fled to Vilna, Japan and Shanghai. Following the war, he resided in France, and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1949. He succeeded his ancestors as rebbe of Lublin, and settled in Bnei Brak. His son-in-law is the Rebbe of Amshinov in Jerusalem.

The present letter was not published in Igrot Kodesh of Rebbe Rayatz.
