Illustrated Ketubah, ink on parchment, on the wedding of "The Bridegroom Rafael ben Rabbi Binyamin of Moilitri with the bride Olympia daughter of Rabbi Shlomo Tuskanu… five thousand four hundred and fifty eight years from the creation of the world [1698] according to the calculation which we count here in Siena which sits on the banks of …".
Acadian script on parchment. Drawings of flowers inside a multi-colored border. In the upper part of the Ketubah are drawings of lions holding a vase.
Illustrated frame of verses which are connected to weddings: "He who has found a wife has found good, and has obtained favor from G-d", "May G-d make the woman who is entering your house like Rachel and Leah, both of whom built the House of Israel and prosper in Efrata and be famous in Bet Lechem".
"In a good sign and with exalted fortune for the bridegroom and bride and all of the people of Israel Amen, so may it be His will. May the bride and groom be blessed as G-d blessed Adam and Chava, may the bride and groom be blessed as G-d blessed Avraham and Sarah, may the bride and groom be blessed as G-d blessed Mordechai the righteous man and Queen Esther, may you enter in joyfully and with peace may you be brought out, the mountains and the hills will burst into song".
