The book was written for Shmuel Avraham Tzahari.
This manuscript is a copy of the book Maggid Meisharim, which was printed in Lublin in 1646. That was the first edition of the book authored by Rabbi Yosef Karo.
Beautiful copy. Lovely new leather binding. Decorated cover page in red and black colors. The titles on each page and some the opening letters (initials) are also decorated in red.
The author, Rabbi Moshe ben Harav Yichya Kapach, was from one of distinguished rabbinic families of Yemen. His good friend, for whom he wrote the book, Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Tzahari, was from the renowned Tzahari family. Rabbi Shmuel ben Avraham Tzahari’s grandfather was one of the Sages of Jerusalem in the late 19th century and beginning of the 20th century.
