Japanese Samurai Body Armor

Body armor made of lacqur-coated metal, which was used by a Samurai or a Japanese Royal Guard soldier in the Edo or Meiji Period.

The Edo Period (1603-1868), also called the Tokugawa Period after the name of a dynasty of leaders in the same name, and together with the Meiji Period (1868-1912) which succeeded it became a time of revolutions in all fields leading Japan to the Modren Era, among them Japan's opening to the West and becoming the only Asian superpower in the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

Good condition, age marks in accordance with the item's age.

The item went through partial restoration in the past (the threads are relatively new).
