Wool rug - Bezalel Jerusalem. Design of the courtyard of the Holy Temple. C. 1910.

One of the early rugs made by Bezalel before the First World War. It still bears the text "Bezalel." Rugs created after the 1920s were tagged "Marbadia." Most Bezalel rugs made during this era were created by tying wool threads to a cotton warp.
