HENRY FORD'S 'THE INTERNATIONAL JEW' (2)
Rare two-volume German-issue set by American industrialist HENRY FORD (1863-1947) American automobile manufacturer and founder of the Ford Motor Company, his infamous printing of 'The International Jew' (Leipzig: Hammer Verlag), 1922-23. 200pp. and 176pp. respectively, in yellow boards and in fine condition. The contents include a collection of articles serialized in Ford's 'The Dearborn Independent', among them: 'The Jew in Character and Business', 'Jewish History in the United States', 'Does a Definite Jewish World Program Exist?', 'An Introduction to the 'Jewish Protocols', and much more. In 1920 Ford began publishing a series of articles that claimed a vast Jewish conspiracy was infecting America. The series ran in the following 91 issues. Ford bound the articles into four volumes titled 'The International Jew', and distributed half a million copies to his vast network of dealerships and subscribers. In the 1920s both Ford and Adolf Hitler began to write of this great, powerful threat, 'the Jew', and Hitler was very much inspired by Ford's writing, so much so that in 1938 Hitler awarded Ford the Grand Cross of the German Eagle. He would also keep a photograph of the carmaker hanging in his office.
