Lot of books and booklets from the library of the Admor Rabbi Yudaleh of Dzikov, including some rare books and some with his handwritten signature.

1. Pesach Haggadah, wine stains and many other signs of use, no binding, pages detached, begins on p. 13

2. Seder HaDorot booklet, guidelines on calculating leap years and determining holiday times, and a calendar. Jerusalem 1894. No binding.

3. Facsimile pages “Seder HaKorbanot v’Hakafot”, Krakow printing 1931. Probably the tzaddik copied these himself for his personal use.

4. Levush Malchut, on the seder of the Kohen Gadol on Yom Kippur, by Rabbi Yehoshua Refael ben Yisrael Benvenisti, printed originally in the book Avodah Tama by the author. Jerusalem, 1903. No binding, pages detached.

5. Pamphlet Imrot Tehorot, a work summarizing the laws of tevila for women with Yiddish translation and halachot of Tevilat Kelim and Shabbos, by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham David Werman (the Botchacher Rebbe). Second edition, with additions. Lemberg 1879. 16 leaves. Pages detached.

6. Pamphlet on “Issues of Shatnez for the Mazhir and Nizhar”, published by the Laboratory for Investigating Shatnez “Malbesh Yerushalayim”, Jerusalem 1957. 24 pages. The printed dust jacket has the handwritten signature of the tzaddik: “Y. Horwitz, Jerusalem, Hoshea 26.” On the back is his signature in another language as well. Page 22 has a microscopic magnification of wool and cotton.

12. A number of pages of “corrections and additions to Darchei Tshuva halachot of shechita”. There is a stamp of the tzaddik with a change to his name as he would sometimes style himself: “Yehuda Hager, dayan of Klausenberg.” At the end are various notes, perhaps in his handwriting.

15. Kli HaRo’im, a commentary on the book of Ovadiya by the Admor Mahartza of Dinov. Premyslan 1883. [1], 6 leaves. No binding, pages detached. Title page has an important stamp: “Pinchas Rabinowitz Kantikoziva”—the Admor Rabbi Pinchas Rabinowitz of Kantikoziva (1861-1922) was the son of Rabbi Yitzhak Yoel. He authored the “Ahavat Yisrael”, which has since been lost, and the “Avodat Yitzhak”—still in manuscript. His sons were Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael, Admor in Tel-Aviv, Rabbi Menachem Nachum, Admor in Haifa, and Rabbi Shmuel Avraham, Admor in Zolkva.

The Tzaddik Rabbi Yehuda Horwitz of Dzikov, known as Rav Yudaleh (1905-1989) was the son of Rabbi Alter Yehezkel Eliyahu Horwitz of Dzikov. He was a rabbi and Admor of the Dzikov-Rofshitz dynasty. His maternal grandfather was the Ahavas Yisrael. He studied under Rabbi Meir Arik in Tarnov. At age 20 he was certified to teach by Rabbi Avraham Mendel Steinberg, the rabbi of Brody. His works include: Imrei Torah on the Torah, Mishnat Yehudah on Masechet Avot, Gilionei Mahari (a collection of notes that he wrote in books that he studied). Since his death many religious works have been published with the additional “Gilionei Mahari” collected from the margins of his works, including the Shulchan Aruch, Chatam Sofer, Noam Elimelech, Avodat HaKodesh by the Hida, Shut Maharsham of Berezhan, Shut Imrei Yosher, and Toldot Yaakov Yosef.

His students include important rabbis and admorim and Chassidic figures from the last generation: Admor Rabbi Mordechai Hager of Vizhnitz-Munsey, Rabbi Yaakov Meir Shechter, leaders of the Breslev community shlita; Admor Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Kahane of Toldot Avraham Yitzhak shlita. Admor Rabbi Mordechai Stein of Poltishan shlita; Admor Rabbi Yisrael Hager of Vizhnitz Bnei Brak shlita. Rabbi Zeev Feldman, Av Beit Din of Kahal Tora Etz Hayyim Chatam Sofer and member of the Badatz in London shlita; Rabbi Eliezer David Friedman, rabbi of the Belz-Mechenovka chassidus in London; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Mundrer, the Admor of Kasov-Jerusalem; Rabbi Mordechai Ganut, author of Luach Davar.
