Roman imperial coinage > Constantius II, 337-361 AD: AE (16 x 16.5mm, 2.3g), Antioch mint; obverse: pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust facing right & legend D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG; reverse: soldier spearing fallen horseman who is bearded, hair in one braid, reaching backwards & legend FEL TEMP REPARATIO around + letter M in left field next to the spear & mintmark ANS in exergue (mintmarks recorded for this type are: ANB, ANΔ, AN epsilon, ANZ, ANΘ, ANBI); unlike other designs of this issue here the soldier's leg and shield left of him are below the border of the exergue. General reference: RIC VIII 190; good/good fine: obverse encrusted with residue but portrait mostly visible, reverse much better, centered strikes on both sides, greenish patina; coin alignment at slight rotation.
