Interesting Promissory Note Signed by Leading Dayanim of Jerusalem
Promissory note from R' Dovber HaLevi Ahronson from Akron, Ohio, USA, bequeaths a fund from his estate [1440 Francs] (after his passing) for the maintenance of the Ohel Moshe yeshivah. Jerusalem, 1911.
In this promissory note, Rabbi Aharonson commits to instructing his heirs to give the above sum, with no argument whatsoever. In exchange, the yeshivah commits to ten idlers who will study mishnayot over the entire first year, on a daily basis, and to learn this way annually on his yahrzeit."
The two administrators of the yeshivah sign on the contract: R' Shimon Wein and R' Ya'akov Gellis, as well as the donor. After this, there is a confirmation from the Perushim's beit din regarding the commitment, signed by the dayanim: R' Moshe Nachum Wallenstein, R' Aryeh Leib Dayan and R' Tzvi Pesach Frank.
