Briskin Veniamin Markovich (1906, Romny - 1982).
Honoured artist of the RF. Graphic Artist. Studied at Kharkov Art Institute (1921-25). Started exhibitioning since 1926. Briskin V.M. was awarded golden medal of the Soviet Fund of World in Moscow International Exhibition "Satire for World Peace”. Created a series of easel paintings, namely: “Vasya Tyorkin” (1940, Indian ink), “Postwar Europe” (1947, Indian ink) and a series of posters. Illustrated books by M. Gorky, M. Tven and Chaplygin.
