A long letter (4 pages) in words of encouragement and guidance in handwriting and the signature of Rabbi Baruch Eliyahu Vesali to his nephew Rabbi Avraham Pollak on the occasion of his appointment as Av Beit Din of Zhambek.
In the letter he asks about the state of Yiddishkeit in the city and about the observance of the mitzvos and halakhah. He also mentions a few family matters and his son, Rabbi David Vassali, rahavad of Pressburg. The letter was apparently not printed.
Long letter [4] pages. Over 90 lines. Handwritten signature at the end of page [2].
Double line paper. 14.5 / 22.5 cm. 3 filing holes with a small incomplete in the text. Stains. Folding marks and tears in them and margins. Good condition.
