Postcard with chiddushei Torah handwritten and signed by the Tzaddik of Ra’anana, the kabbalist Rabbi Yitzhak Huberman. 1953

Postcard handwritten by the Tzaddik of Ra’anana, the kabbalist Rabbi Yitzhak Huberman, addressed to Rabbi Yehiel Meir Weingot of Bnei Brak, written in response to a letter on a halachic subject touching on a variety of issues such as: “the law of Tochut” and others. At the end he stamps: “his friend who blesses him, Yitzhak HaKohen Huberman.” 9.5x14.5cm. Stains., the ink smudges in a number of places, but the writing is readable and understandable.

Rabbi Yitzhak HaKohen Huberman (1896-1977) was the student of the Shem MiShmuel of Sochotchov and the Gartzah Glickson (son-in-law of the Grach of Brisk). He was also close to the Admorim of Gur. After the Shoah he served in the rabbinate of Wezler, Germany. In 1950 he immigrated to Israel and settled in Ra’anana. Over the years he became famous as a kabbalist and miracle worker, many came to him for a blessing. The Gram Shach wrote about him in an endorsement to his book Ben L’Ashrei: “He is famous for full knowledge of the Nigla and Nistar.”
