Engraved military metal flask for alcohol—Europe, 1916
The top opens from the middle of the flask and reveals an engraving: “Gluckliches Neujar 1916 a Good New Year and Peace Tishrei 5676” (misspelled, but ‘Happy New Year’ in German). Also an engraving of a pair of swords. We didn’t open the flask. 16x8cm, depth 3cm. Various knocks.
