Appearing on the back of the title page is the signature of the great Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz Rosh Yeshivat Mir: "Chaim Shmuelevitz, Shchechen". In addition, appearing among the pages of the sefer is a stamp: "Chevrat Ezrat Torah DeHaYeshiva Anaf "Knesset Yisrael" Shchochin Pelech Vilna".
The great Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz (1902-1979) one of the greatest Rosh Yeshivas of the previous generation. For many years served as Rosh Yeshivat Mir. In his youth he studied Torah at the Sha'ar HaTorah Yeshiva in Grodno with the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop, who greatly appreciated him and even appointed him to teach the younger students of the yeshiva. He was known as very diligent and intellectual and with a wonderous memory. Already in his youth he delved into his study with several interchanging Chevrutot (partners), studying the Sugiyyot with much devotion and in great depth. He married the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel. Rabbi Chaim exiled with his disciples, the students of the Mir Yeshiva, during the World War, to wherever they went.
