Biography
b. 1864 Mogilev, Russia. Immigrated 1913. Studies: 1882 Royal School of Arts, Vilna, painting; 1885 Royal Academy, Vienna, portraiture; 1887-1913 Berlin, technique of painting miniatures in ivory and enamel and restoration. Teaching: 1913 On immigration, he established a miniature painting department at Bezalel, Jerusalem, which he headed until its closure; 1917-18 headed Bezalel in the absence of Boris Schatz. Exhibitions: Participated in Tower of David and Bezalel exhibitions. Died 1945.
