An Official Postcard of the Vaad Hayeshivot (Council of Yeshivot) – Handwriting and Signature of Rabbi Leib Chasman – Shchuchyn 1924
An interesting letter in the handwriting of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Chasman on an official postcard of the "Vaad Mercazi L'Yshivot (The Central Council of Yeshivot) in Polish Lithuania. Lithuania, Shchuchyn, 1924. Sent to its recipient Rabbi Yosef Shub, the director of "Vaad Hayeshivot".

The postcard is of the Vaad Hayeshivot in Polish Lithuania, and on the back side is printed in Latin letters the name and address of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski. At the top of the postcard Rabbi Chasman wrote in his handwriting "Shchuchyn". Similarly, he signed with the initials Y.H.L (as he customarily signed, after the name of his book).
Rabbi Yehuda Leib Chasman (the Stutchiner), author of the "Or Yahel"(1869-1936) was a distinguished rabbi, the Rosh Yeshiva of Shchuchyn and the Menahel Ruchani of the Yeshivas Telz and Chevron. One of the leaders of the Mussar Movement. He was a great help to Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski in rehabilitating the yeshiva world after the First World War.
Approximately 10 lines in his holy handwriting. On the back of the postcard are a few additional words in his writing and his signature.
