SPRING COMES EARLY WITH SUNSHINE
Original Chinese poster art: 'Spring Comes Early With Sunshine', 36 x 26 in., tempera on beige heavy stock, 1975. An attractive, highly-detailed image of young agricultural commune members reading various writings by Mao, newspapers, etc. and helping a peasant lady read as they sit outside a rural greenhouse. A label attached at lower-right attributed the work to 'intellectual Youth Xu Jin Ming' from the Dian Zi Brigade of Hua Shan commune in Zhao Yuan county. Fine condition. From a single collection obtained entirely in China pre-2000.
