Lot of three items related to Henry Ward Beecher and his family, includes: HENRY WARD BEECHER(1813 - 1887) American clergyman who was an ardent supporter of abolition and woman suffrage. He was brought down by an adultery scandal that shocked the nation. A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., Brooklyn, Oct. 13, 1853 belatedly sending his autograph; his brother WILLIAM HENRY BEECHER (1802–1889), minister who was called 'The Unlucky' because misfortune attended all his ventures, A.Q.S., 1854: 'All men are created equal in rights & are by God entitled to Life Liberty & Happiness. These make a man, their absence a slave...'; with a signature of their father, LYMAN BEECHER (1775–1863), Presbyterian minister, American Temperance Society co-founder and leader, and the father of 13 children. All are mounted, good condition.
