KURT VON TIPPELSKIRCH
(1891 – 1957) General in the Wehrmacht who commanded several armies on the Eastern Front and in Lorraine. On April 29, 1945 he was given command of the remnants of Army Group Vistula which he surrendered to the Americans. Recipient of the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves. S.P., 3.5 x 5.5 in. b/w, a chest, up pose in uniform inscribed and signed postwar on verso. Fine.
