One of the best and most complete Russian pre-revolutionary works on criminal proceedings. This course, compiled in the late 19th century by the famous Russian lawyer, Senator, Professor of St. Petersburg University Ivan Yakovlevich Foynitsky (1847-1913), still remains an unsurpassed classic example of a systematic presentation of the theory and practice of criminal proceedings. The second volume is devoted to the forms of building the prosecution, defense, civil action in criminal proceedings, the theory of evidence and individual stages of legal proceedings. This is an edition published in 1899-1902., was particularly popular, as it had numerous additions and improvements compared to previous editions.
