“Chayei Adam” with the signature of Rabbi Chizkiyahu Medini, author of “Sdei Chemed”
Chayei Adam, with the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Chizkiyahu Medini, author of Sdei Chemed (1835-1905) served as a rabbi in Constantinople and in Hebron. He was known for his diligence in Torah study and his vast knowledge of rabbinic literature and Kabbala. He corresponded with Torah giants throughout the Jewish Diaspora and published the encyclopedic 18-volume work Sdei Chemed and many other books.
