Rabbi Aharon Ibn Hayyim (c.1556-1632), was a Torah giant in Morocco. He was born in Fez and studied in the yeshiva of his father, Rabbi Avraham Ibn Hayyim. Rabbi Aharon served as a dayan in the rabbinical court or Rabbi Vidal HaSarfati and spent three years in Venice during the preparations for the publication of this book, benefitting the Jewish community there with his wisdom and advice.
