Comments: The fish is a particularly common amuletic motif in modern Tunisian Jewish folklore, cf. Hirschberg, H.Z. The Fish in the Mosaics of the Synagogue at Naro, pp. 305-311, pl. 43-44, Eretz-Israel vol. 8, Jerusalem 1967 (Hebrew).
