Rabbi Chananya Yomtov Lippa Meier – Teitelbaum (1906-1966), son of Rabbi Chanoch Henoch Meier of Kerecki – Sassov, a descendant of the Rebbes of Sassov, Alesk and Belz. Son-in-law of (his maternal uncle) Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Szatmar, where he assisted in the leadership of the Yeshiva, before being appointed Rabbi of Szentmihaly. After a time, he was invited back to Szatmar to serve as Rosh Beth Din. Settled in New York in 1948 and in Eretz Yisrael in 1963, establishing Kiryath Yismach Moshe.
