Ancient signatures on the title page: "Shlomo Zalman Hachoen" – presumably, the father of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook or the Shadar Shlomo Zalman Hacohen, the father-in-law of the scholar Rabbi Yaakov Sapir, who died in Calcutta, India, in 1847.
