Three Works‭: ‬Zechira V'Inyanei Segulot‭, ‬Ma'amar Haskel‭, ‬Divrei Torah

1. Sefer Zechira and Inyanei Segulot

By [R. Zechariah Simner]. Lemberg, Avraham Nissan Ziss and Berel Leib Nechelis press. 1867. [17, 23] leaves, 17 cm.

Two volumes with two title pages. The copy recorded on the CD of the Institute for Hebrew Bibliography is lacking the first title page.

2. Ma’amar Haskel

Commentary on the liturgical poem “Kel Elokim Hashem Diber,” composed by R. Eliezer son of R. Nathan HaAshkenazi (the Ra’avan), by R. Wolf Heidenheim. Lyck, Zvi Hirsch Petzall press. 1862. [3], 28, 28–74, [1], 75–77 leaves. 17 cm

This famous and important poem, encompassing all 613 mitzvot as they are alluded to in the Ten Commandments, was written by the Ra’avan, one of the great medieval scholars, and grandfather of the Rosh. Maamar Haskel is a commentary on it, written by R. Wolf Heidenheim.

3. Divrei Torah

A compendium from the Talmud and Midrash, and from early and later sacred works, by [R. Moshe Chaim Werthman]. [Lemberg. Circa 1870]. 95, [1] leaf, 18 cm.

From the title, we see that this compendium includes discourses from R. Shmelke of Nikolsburg, the Chozeh of Lublin, the Apta Rebbe, R. Mordechai of Czernobl, and from the teachers of the compiler R. Yerachmiel of Przysecha and R. Chaim Meir Yechiel of Mogielnica.

With an early owner’s signature on the title page.
