Davar Be'Ito, the Chofetz Chaim – Warsaw 1895 – First Edition – Signature of his student Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bloch
A book written by Rabbi Yisrael Meir Ha'Cohen of Radun, the Chofetz Chaim. The book "is aimed to strengthen religion and especially the subject of forbidden foods". First edition.
The title page does not mention the author's name. Due to his great modesty, his name does not appear also in his famous book 'Chofetz Chaim'. When he travelled around the country to sell his books, he would hide the fact that he himself was their author.
On the title page there us a signature (in square letters) of the Chofetz Chaim's student, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bloch. On the first page there is a comment in his handwriting: "I have received from [Mrs.] … the wife of Rabbi Yoel Schlosberg". Correction in his handwriting also appear on page 4.
