Israeli pre-State Hagana Defence Militia military service ribbon with safety-pin
Israel: Hagana (Defence Militia) service ribbon, with safety-pin back. The ribbon was instituted in 1958 and awarded to members of the Haganah organization who served for a period of at least six months between 1920 and 14 May 1948 (the day Israel was established), and to all members of the Haganah who were killed, wounded, arrested or took part in operations. If the eligible person died, his next of kin could request to receive the ribbon or a replacement of a lost ribbon.
