PHILIPPINE GUERRILLA CURRENCY
Great grouping of 57 bank notes circulated in the Philippines during the Japanese occupation but backed by the exiled Philippine National Bank and often used to fund guerilla activities. The Japanese issued occupation currency, but these notes were actually backed by the national bank's silver holdings. Included are 20 peso notes issued in Iloilo, five peso notes issued in Negros, 10 peso notes issued in Bohal and Cebu, 50 centavo notes issued in Bohol, 25 centavo notes issued in Bohal, 10 centavo notes issued in Bohal, and more denominations. Circulated condition.
