GERMAN BROADSIDE MENTIONS PUBLIC EXECUTION OF 140 POLISH CRIMINALS
Printed broadside in German and Polish, 1p. oblong folio, Warsaw, March 21, 1944, containing a message from the Security Police Chief for the Warsaw District, in part: "...Despite repeated warnings from March 1-11, 1944, 12 insidious raids...were carried out in Warsaw...4 Germans were killed, 9 Germans seriously wounded...on March 21st, 1945...140 Polish criminals were publically executed...The population of Warsaw...are asked to do everything possible to prevent further attacks on Germans or Poles in German service..." Evenly toned, folds, pin holes in upper corners, else fine.
