THEODOR GEIB
(1885 - 1944) German general in Albania during World War II. Rather than appoint a military governor to oversee Albania, Germany appointed Geib as 'German General in Albania' (DGA) with the official duty to represent the interests of the Wehrmacht to the 'Albanian government.' T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Berlin, Nov. 7, 1940 to Gen. MORITZ BASLER (1886-1941). Geib takes note of the fact that Basler has been given command of Feldzeugkommando XVIII and shares his sketchy information that Basler may not have to relocate for some time. Rough margins and a clean interior tear. Accompanied by Basler's letter to Geib, 1p. 4to., Sep. 26, 1940, telling of his appointment, signed 'Ba'. Two pieces.
