OTTO BUTZE
(1881 - 1978) German general, commander of the 78th Infantry Division from 1940-41 and the 340th Infantry Division in 1942-43. War-date S.P., 3.5 x 5.25 b/w, a waist-up profile view of the general in uniform. Butze signs at bottom-right of the face in blue ink, adding the inscription 'Divisions-Komandeur im Felde...1942' on the verso.
