Great lot of two signed items, bearing signatures from three of the six American soldiers who raised the American flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima, includes: Signed block of four 'Iwo Jima' postage stamps, 3 x 2 in., signed across in black ink by RENE GAGNON (1925-1979) and IRA H. HAYES (1923-1955). Fine condition. WITH: Signed FDC honoring the U.S. Armed Forces, showing battle scenes of Iwo Jima and bearing four affixed 'Iwo Jima' postage stamps, signed by JOHN H. BRADLEY (1923 - 1994) in blue ink at top-right. Fine, with July 11, 1945 cancel.
