IVORY PORTRAIT OF NAPOLEON BONAPARTE
An appealing piece, a half-length miniature portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte by artist ARMAND BERTON (1854-1927), ca. 1880-1900, showing a three-quarter view of the "Little General" in uniform, painted on a white, flat bone-like surface, and signed by the artist in blue at the right. The portrait measures approx. 1.75 in. wide, (sight), and has been matted with a brown backing and placed within a gilt frame to a total size of 3.75 x 3.75 in. Fine condition, with incredibly vivid color.
