ROSENTHAL PORCELAIN PLATE PICTURING THE BERGHOF
Porcelain plate depicting "Haus Wachenfeld", Adolf Hitler's retreat which he would later completely refurbish and name the "Berghof". This exceptional plate, 8.625 in. diameter, was produced by renowned German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal of Selb, Germany. The image was slightly impressed upon the plate and then was expertly hand-painted with the addition of a band of gold on the outside of the design. The house's name "Haus Wachenfeld (Obersalzberg)" appears on the reverse, as does the maker's name. Fine condition.
