Rare: Sefer Shir Yedidus, Krakow 1644. Only Edition.

A complete copy of Sefer Shir Yedidus, authored by R. Yedidya of Krakow and printed there in 1644. This work is of exceptional rarity, as it was printed in Krakow just a mere four years prior to the Chmielnicki massacres of 1648-49. As such, barely any copies have survived to this day.

This work focuses on Hebrew grammar and was printed with the approbation of leading Torah scholars of that generation, such as R. Heschel of Krakow (the Rebbe Reb Heschel) and R. Yom Tov Lipmann Heller, author of Tosafos Yom Tov. The work was printed in various parts at different times. This copy contains only the “Tzedah L’Derech” section, the most rare of all. Only a partial copy exists in the National Library of Israel from the Mehlman Collection; this part is not found there.

In overall very good condition, lacking binding.
