The collection focused around early Islam. A variety of oil lamps from the Byzantine and Islamic periods and various pottery items from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine period.

Terracotta oil lamp. From the Holy Land. Byzantine late 5th-8th century AD
Often referred to as slipper lamps due to their shape, this lamp sits on a ring base and its handle is bordered by a small dot. The shoulders are decorated with radiating lines and the spout depicts a stylized palm tree, sometimes called the tree of life.
In excellent and original condition with a natural patina of the Holy Land.
