Daguerreotype Portrait of a Finely Dressed Woman
Daguerreotype photograph depicting a portrait of a woman. She is dressed in a black dress with black lace fingerless gloves, a white lace collar, and a bonnet with long white ribbons. Housed under glass in a gilt frame encased by a stamped leather and wood case with red velvet lining. The red velvet lining stamped "Willard Market St. AB-16th Philada."

Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Height: 3 3/4 in x width: 3 1/4 in x depth: 1/2 in.
Condition: Spots of discoloration to the photograph. Discoloration to the edges. Some dirt/dust gathered between the glass and the plate. Light discoloration to the metal. Some wear and losses to the case as expected with age.
